News from the FIC 2016
The 8th “FIC” (Data Security and Privacy Forum) was held in Lille on the 25 and 26 January.
This annual event brings together experts in cybersecurity. The cybersecurity department of ESAIP was present on the stand of our partner EC-Council, one of the international references in IT certification and especially Ethical Hacking.
The International Forum for Cybersecurity is indispensable for both our teaching staff and students. They get up to date with the technology, maintain our network of contacts and students from the “Cybersecurity ” major find projects, internships and jobs in this booming sector.
A Student & pro competition
Alongside the salon, a competition was organized between students and professional teams. Our first participation and a fine 5th place. An opportunity to compare the talents of today’s and tomorrow’s forensic and defensive Cybersecurity. We participated in two 3h challenges.

“The FIC gives us the chance to meet cybersecurity professionals , they come from private companies such as Diateam, Orange Cyber Defence, Thales, Airbus, etc. or public administrations such as the National Police, ANSII (National Security Agency Information Systems), Directorate General of Armaments, etc. “

“This is must every year because all the industry’s professionals are there. We can meet with companies and thus establish new contacts. We also show our students the importance of creating a network before the end of fulltime education. The next step will be the Night of Hack, 2nd and 3rd of July! There it will be on another dimension because national and international level experts will be taking part and there will be a hackathon-12h non-stop! “
